Our team understands how stressful it can be when our pets are ill, injured or aging, and they want to be there for the pet, and the owner.

Dr. Amy Tongue

Dr. Amy Tongue

Owner of OVH since 2010

Dr. Tongue grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and has dreamed of becoming a veterinarian for as long as she can remember. After earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from UC Davis in 1998, she began her career working with horses, cattle, and small animals in a rural Northern California community.

After meeting her Oregon native husband, she relocated to Portland and, in 2010, became the proud owner of Oswego Veterinary Hospital—their “third child” alongside their two sons, who are now off at college.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Tongue enjoys trail riding and horse camping, and devotes much of her free time to caring for Jasper, her energetic and affectionately demanding rescued German Shorthaired Pointer.

Dr. Trish Roisum

Dr. Trish Roisum

Veterinarian

With OVH since 2024

Dr. Trish’s career quite possibly began when at age 4, she asked her mom if she could go to college to become a bird. A few decades later, she graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. Her adventures as a veterinarian started in rural southern Oregon making small town memories. Large animals, companion animals and wildlife served as teachers and guides. She cherishes those incredible adventures, life altering experiences, and foundational lessons.

Trish’s recent veterinary practice is focused on companion animals. As a practitioner her goal is to offer all the options available to help your pet live their best life and have their highest health. She is currently licensed to practice veterinary medicine in Oregon and Washington.

She cherishes each puppy visit as much as she honors each end-of-life transition. She celebrates and respects the bond we form with our four-legged family members. Trish believes that we share our lives with our animal family for a variety of reasons: to support each other’s evolution, to be each other’s teacher, to guide each other, and to learn to love without condition.

Trish is an Adult Chair life coach, a Nia white belt, an Awakening Women group temple facilitator, a Vipassana meditator, a volunteer for Not One More Vet, and a Hoffman Process graduate. She lives with her husband Lee, a windsprite named Birdy, and five fabulous cats; Fred – The Big Handsome, Shenandoah and Sonoma – The Valley Girls, Brother – The Romantic, and Hickory – The Irreverent.

Jessie Logan

Jessie Logan

Practice Manager

With OVH since 2002

Jessie was one of those children who seemed to gravitate to animals from the day she was born. Bringing home “stray” animals and nursing injured wildlife was a routine part of her childhood.

Since Jessie has held almost every position in the profession, she believes it offers her a valuable insight and perspective of team life in the trenches that has enhanced building successful relationships with her team and peers.

Jessie is active within one of the most well-respected professional veterinary organizations for management called the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association.

She spends her time on her country property tending the garden, chickens, turkeys, goats, and a mule. She also has two dogs – a herding dog mix named Tucker, and Cowboy an Australian Cattle Dog who lives life at full speed ahead. She and her riding mule Moses, have covered many miles in both Washington and Oregon backcountry.
