With OVH since 2002
Jessie was one of those children who seemed to gravitate to animals from the day she was born. Bringing home “stray” animals and nursing injured wildlife was a routine part of her childhood.
Since Jessie has held almost every position in the profession, she believes it offers her a valuable insight and perspective of team life in the trenches that has enhanced building successful relationships with her team and peers. In 2009 she became a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager and in 2013 she earned her SPHR certification.
Jessie is active within one of the most well respected professional veterinary organizations for management called the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association. Jessie also enjoys participating in various veterinary social networks in addition to helping facilitate the monthly meeting and general organization of a group of local Practice Managers whose insight, wisdom and wit she greatly admires.
In 2011, she was selected Veterinary Practice Manager of the Year by the Oregon Veterinary Medical Association!
Personally, she spends her time on her country property tending the garden, chickens and turkeys as well as one Giant Schnauzer “Cajun” (an 80-pound juvenile delinquent) and “Hazel,” the Caucasian Ovcharka (the princess of the group), a herding dog mix rescue named Tucker, and the baby of the group is “Cowboy” the Australian Cattle Dog.
If you ask Jessie about life, she will say, “One of the things that will always bring me my greatest sense of fulfillment is spending my days working side by side with people I truly admire, that share the goal of helping our clients take the best possible care of their much-loved pets. All of that and puppy breath too – it doesn’t get much better than that!”
