With OVH since 2012
Dr. Duggan was born and raised in Northern California and attended UC Davis both as an undergraduate and a veterinary student. She obtained her veterinary degree in 1996, and moved to the fine town of Red Bluff to practice mixed animal medicine. Here she met Dr. Tongue, where both they and their horses became good friends and riding buddies.
She emigrated to Portland in 2001, and started practicing exclusively small animal medicine. In 2011, she began training in veterinary acupuncture, for another approach to patient care and the challenges of opening up her mind to something new and different. Having successfully completed the course and examinations, she’s now treating our patients with acupuncture! She would like to take complementary medicine further as she becomes proficient, exploring Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine which includes herbal and nutritional therapy.
On a personal note, she has sweet Labrador named Clementine and the newest member of the family “Blinky”, a rescue kitten with one eye, but it doesn’t slow her down one bit. She and her husband Dan are self-enslaved by perpetual house renovations, but she also enjoys horseback riding, hiking, gardening, cooking and reading.
