Dr. Tongue was an OVH doctor since 2005 and then in 2010 she purchased OVH and is continuing the tradition of medical excellence, extraordinary client service and a deep appreciation of the human animal bond.
Amy grew up in the San Francisco bay area and received her undergraduate degree in Animal Physiology from UC San Diego. She graduated from veterinary school at the University of California, Davis in 1998 and spent the next three years at a practice in rural Northern California working on a large variety of large and small animals.
After meeting her future husband, a Lake Oswego native, and joining him in Oregon in 2002, Amy began practicing in Lake Oswego. She and her husband, Tom, have two boys, two dogs (Piper and Ruby), two parakeets, and random foster dogs or cats at any given time. Amy’s medical interests lie in surgery and general medicine, though she enjoys the diversity that veterinary medicine has to offer. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the Oregon trails on horseback, reading, and hiking.
