Commitment to Care Program – Unlimited Exams for a Year
At Oswego Veterinary Hospital, we celebrate our relationships with our patients and their people every day. We are in this business because we love what we do, and we love the patients and animals that we serve. We STRONGLY believe that every patient has vastly different needs, and good medicine (either veterinary or human) should never include a “one size fits all” approach.
You may have noticed that some veterinary hospitals sell “Wellness Plans” that may include vaccines, lab work, and other preventive care. The OVH medical team has not been able to convince ourselves that these programs are in the best interest of the patient or the client. We consider every patient individually based on his or her health, age and lifestyle, from the vaccines we give to parasite prevention recommendations and even the anesthetic drugs we use for a surgical or dental procedure.
We do, however, appreciate that veterinary care can be expensive, and the perceived value of “wellness plans” may encourage people to visit their veterinarian more often. For this reason, we DO see the value in offering unlimited doctor examinations for a single yearly fee, so that concerns can be addressed as frequently as needed without the expense of an exam fee each time.
We see this as a commitment to your pet that you will offer the very best care possible and not hesitate to bring him or her to the vet due to the cost of yet another exam.
Some benefits of our Unlimited Exam Offering are as follows:
- Provides peace of mind to you as a pet parent all year for $205
- For clients that travel frequently, your pet sitter or boarding facility can schedule an exam for your pet if they have any concerns at all, without having to reach you for payment information
- Encourages regular, frequent exams and/or rechecks for geriatric pets or those with chronic medical conditions (such as skin and ear problems, diabetes, or kidney disease)
- With our Unlimited Exams – Commitment to Care Program, the price of an exam is one less thing to worry about when a medical issue for your pet comes up unexpectedly.
